Hey Producthunt 👋
Over the past few weeks, Curtis and I designed and built a lightweight native Mac app that goes a little further than the default menubar item that comes with macOS. The app is built in Swift, is 7MB and barely uses your system's resources that'd slow down your Mac.
Battery Thing lets you decide when to show/hide the battery icon in the menubar. Other than that, it shows the:
- health of your Macbook's battery
- battery of connected Bluetooth products such as the Magic Mouse and AirPods
Currently, it requires a Macbook running macOS 11 or newer but we're exploring options to support other Macs as well so you can see the battery statuses of your Bluetooth products in one place.
I'd love to hear what you think of it!

I fully expected a popup to show up on the website when I clicked on the battery icon :(
@sbrands Hey Daryl, great questions! Each license activates two Macs, and we're still figuring out what kinds of additional features to build. What kinds of things should we definitely consider?

@daveyheuser updates? would be cool if you could run in the reverse ie: from mobile/watch see laptop battery status, airpod status, mouse and other. I see an enterprise opportunity there. Is there a public roadmap?
