Hey everyone, Max here from Basedash. Today we’re launching Basedash in Español, Français & Português: the same fast interface, now in the language you work in. Pick English, Español, Français, or Português from profile settings. The app switches instantly without a page reload, and only the language you choose loads. Your dashboards, chats, navigation, and settings all resolve together, while your place in the app stays exactly where it was. We built the switch to feel like changing a preference, not starting a new session. Choose Español to review a dashboard, move to Français for a teammate, then return to English without breaking your flow. We’ve been using it to review translated product flows in place. A locale change that used to interrupt the check now happens on the same screen in a click. The Product Hunt community gets an extra week on their trial this week. Happy to answer anything.

Its easy to trust a nice looking chart but being able to check SQL and source rows makes it much easier to validate the result Curious if you see this eventually becoming the expectation for AI analytics tools?

yes 100! People need to be able to trust that the answers they're getting from AI are accurate. Basedash shows exactly which tables, models, and SQL queries were used in determining the final answer.

the part i would watch is that the interface translates and the data does not. column names, enum values and the customer's own rows are all still english, so a spanish ui over an english schema can read stranger than the english one did.

for sure. We think it's important that raw data never gets automatically translated, but since Basedash is primarily an AI-native tool, most of how you interface with it is through the AI. So it reads the raw data in whatever language it's stored, then writes back to you in your preferred language.

that resolves it, and it flips the usual problem, because the schema stops needing translation once nobody reads it directly. the residual is outside the chat: a column the ai names in spanish only exists in that conversation, and it is the name they will paste to an engineer.

Max, the French support is the bit I keep thinking about. A couple of people I work with reason better in their first language and only switch to English because the software makes them. It's overdue in the best way.

agreed! Half our team can speak French so seemed like a good first language to support.

Nice that it's an instant profile-setting switch rather than a full locale-routed rebuild. Does the AI-generated chart/dashboard output (axis labels, generated summaries, etc) also switch language, or is it just the static UI chrome that's translated for now?
