Great product idea! As someone building AI features, I can relate to the struggle of managing prompts and comparing models effectively. A few questions:
How does Basalt handle version control for prompts? Is there a way to track changes over time?
Can you integrate Basalt with existing development workflows or CI/CD pipelines?
Does the dashboard provide insights on cost optimization across different models?
It's exciting to see a tool that brings software engineering best practices to AI development!

1/ we have great version control system with both minor and major versions plus an experience of auto-versioning : you keep a state of flow when prompt / iterating without having to focus on versioning, everything is saved, nothing is lost !
2/ of course, we have a monitoring matching market practices with prompts and traces. Have a look at our documentation

I am about to release my new AI-native product - and ofc I used Basalt to :
- Craft prompts using best-practices
- Ensure the quality is good with 100+ test cases (without the grunt work, using custom & LLM-as-a-judge evaluators)
- Figure out which models / parameters are best
- Deploy in 30 sc in my codebase using the SDK
- Monitor logs once in staging / production
