What do you guys think will be the future of interviews and resumes

So lately we have found out that startups - specially YC startups, ask people to come to office in the "office days" where they ask the candidates to solve JIRA tickets and also give them a sandbox environment

I feel they are just trying to guage how people will perform and work when they come and join them

I feel this is a very expensive way of hiring and most of the candidates do not have full day to go attend the office days.

What do you think is going to happen to interviews? Do you think interviews are relevant?
