๐Ÿ”ฎ Aurelyโ€™s New Integration Model โ€” Iโ€™d Love Your Feedback

Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m working on a new integration model for Aurely (my macOS voice reminder app) and would love to get your thoughts before it ships.

๐Ÿ”’ Privacy-first by design

Your data stays private.

By default, reminders remain local to Aurely โ€” no background sync, no cloud.

When you connect an integration, you do it per reminder: you decide what gets shared and where.

Nothing leaves your Mac unless you say so.

๐Ÿ”— Planned integrations

๐ŸŽ Apple Calendar

  • Two-way sync โ€” reminders appear in your Calendar

  • All-day events for 00:00 reminders

  • Choose which calendar to use

  • Optional auto-sync

  • Notifications 15 minutes before events

โœ… Todoist

  • Two-way sync with priority mapping

  • Tasks due today imported automatically

  • Deep links: jump straight from Todoist back to Aurely

  • Completion sync both ways

  • API token stored securely in Keychain

๐Ÿ”” Apple Reminders

  • Full two-way sync โ€” instant updates

  • Smart import with priority

  • Completion sync

  • No duplicate notifications โ€” Aurely detects synced reminders automatically

๐ŸŽจ Visual touches

Source badges show where each reminder comes from:

  • ๐Ÿ“… Calendar

  • โœ… Todoist

  • ๐Ÿ”” Apple Reminders

Youโ€™ll see them in:

  • Upcoming view

  • History view

  • Menu bar

Badges only appear for imported reminders (so your native Aurely reminders stay clean).

๐Ÿ’ญ Iโ€™d love your input

  1. Does the per-reminder opt-in model feel right for privacy and control?

  2. Are Calendar, Todoist, and Apple Reminders the right integrations to start with?

  3. Do badges make the source of reminders clear enough?

  4. What other integrations would you love to see next?

If youโ€™ve used Aurely before, Iโ€™d love to hear how youโ€™d use integrations like this โ€” would it replace your current reminder setup, or complement it?

Thanks for helping shape the next version of Aurely ๐Ÿ™

โ€” Levan
