Manual annotation is slow, expensive, and inconsistent because quality depends on human reviewers. Semi-automated tools generate suggestions but still rely heavily on human correction, which creates new problems like inconsistent labels between annotators, quality degradation at scale, high operational cost, and slow review pipelines. ML engineers told us they want automation without sacrificing quality, which existing tools fail to deliver. So we decided to fix this.
