ArriveLoud — Never miss your stop again - PS-based transit alarm that wakes you up before your stop

by
Hey Product Hunt! I'm building ArriveLoud because I was tired of falling asleep on late transit and missing my stop. Standard time-based alarms fail during train delays. ArriveLoud uses dynamic GPS geofencing to wake you up based on actual distance, overriding silent mode so you don't sleep through it. Check out our 3-screen UI mockup at arriveloud.com and join the waitlist for early access. Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone! I'm the creator behind ArriveLoud. The Inspiration This project was born out of pure frustration after one too many late-night commuting fails. After a brutal workday, falling asleep on public transit is practically inevitable and relying on standard phone alarms or estimated time arrivals almost always backfires when there are unexpected train delays or sudden stops. I needed something that would guarantee I didn't wake up at the end of the line. The Problem Time-based alarms don't care about real-world transit delays, and regular geo-reminders often fail to trigger loudly enough if your phone is tucked away in a pocket or set to silent mode. Commuters need a fail-safe way to relax or sleep on their journey without constant anxiety about missing their stop. The Evolution & Approach Instead of jumping straight into full-scale background GPS and native mobile code, I took a step back to design the solution visually first. I wanted to focus entirely on dead-simple UX—a 3-step setup that sets a dynamic geofence, overrides silent audio profiles, and gets out of your way. Right now, the core UI mockups and product vision are live at arriveloud.com. I'm running this initial rollout to validate feature priorities (like background battery optimization and smart audio overrides) directly with early adopters. I’d love to know: Have you ever missed your stop, and what feature would give you total peace of mind on your commute? Excited to hear your feedback!

Hey Product Hunt community! 👋

I’m thrilled to launch ArriveLoud today!

The Problem: How many times have you put in your headphones on a train or bus, set your phone to Silent/DND, closed your eyes, and accidentally missed your stop? I've done it more times than I'd like to admit. Standard alarms don't work because transit schedules delay, and normal GPS apps get silenced by your phone's volume settings.

The Solution: ArriveLoud is a geofence-based transit alarm that tracks your location in the background and triggers a loud alarm as you approach your target stop—overriding Silent Mode and Do Not Disturb so you actually wake up or hear it through your music.

Key Features:

  • 📍 Geofence Radius: Triggers based on distance, not arbitrary time estimates.

  • 🔔 Silent Mode & DND Override: Guarantees you hear the alarm even if your phone is muted.

  • 🔋 Battery Efficient: Optimized background location tracking to preserve your battery during long commutes.

I’d love for you to give it a try and share your honest feedback, thoughts, or feature requests below. I'll be here all day answering your questions!

Thanks for the support! 🙌
