Two Weeks After Launching ApiHub on Product Hunt — What I Learned

by

It has been two weeks since I launched ApiHub on Product Hunt.

ApiHub provides one API for accessing multiple AI models, including affordable Chinese models such as DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, and MiniMax...

The launch did not bring a huge wave of traffic, but it still resulted in new registrations, useful developer feedback, and a clearer product direction.

The most important result was validating the problem behind ApiHub.

Developers want to test and switch between different AI models, but managing separate accounts, API keys, billing systems, and integrations creates unnecessary work. Many international developers are also interested in Chinese AI models because of their capabilities and lower costs, but accessing and comparing them is not always straightforward.

The feedback also confirmed that developers care about more than model access. They want consistent API behavior, simple model switching, clear model information, reliable service, and transparent billing.

ApiHub already provides unified access and transparent usage-based billing, but the launch helped me better understand which parts of the experience matter most to developers.

My next focus is user growth: reaching more developers, collecting more real-world feedback, and continuing to improve the platform based on actual usage.

The launch numbers were not huge, but it gave me something more valuable: confirmation that the problem is real and worth continuing to solve.

What was the most useful thing you learned after launching your product on Product Hunt?
