I built Antalogy because I kept looking for a true Word-like Markdown editor for knowledge workers, and I couldn’t find one. It brought back the same feeling I had with my first startup: building something I genuinely needed, becoming my own first user, and turning a real frustration into a product. This time, I’m building it with a small team I’ve already built businesses with before - people I trust, and who know how to take a product from idea to something real, useful, and durable. I’ve spent 30+ years in software, including roles at Borland, Microsoft, and HP, and I’ve also taken a startup from idea through growth into a real business. Across all of that, I’ve learned that the best products feel natural, reduce friction, and respect how people already work. That’s the standard I wanted for Antalogy. It brings Markdown into a Word-like UI: ribbon toolbar, visual editing, familiar controls, separate document windows, and clean .md files underneath. It stays local, works offline, and avoids cloud dependency or vendor lock-in. You can also just open Word documents and work with then in .md without changes in original .docx locally on you Windows or macOS. For diagrams Antalogy natively supports Mermaid. If you want AI assistance, you can connect your own LM Studio, Ollama, trusted subscription, or corporate OpenAI API endpoint. This is a preview, and feedback matters a lot. I’m looking for honest reactions from people who care about tools that are polished, practical, and built for real work. Try it free, and tell us what should be better. Serge & Team
