Hey Product Hunt!
Did you know that Nike's iconic JumpMan logo that adorns Michael Jordan's line of shoes was almost ChickenParmMan?
Did you know the first ad impression started at a speech Plato gave, and it ended in a bloodbath followed by a free lunch?
Did you know that if you even look at the 4 Ps of Marketing funny, several very serious, furrow-browed academics will boo you on Twitter?
Did you know this book features Gary Vaynerchuk, Jeff Bezos, Malcolm Gladwell, Richard Branson, Tony Robbins and many, many other industry giants in a series of very misleading promo posters that, in fact, say none of these dudes even know who I am, much less participated in this absurd book?
So many incredible things aren't true about this book. It's a wonder why it was even written.
The actual truth? "An Inaccurate History of Advertising: Fabrications and Other Deliberate Lies About a Profession No One Wanted or Needed" was incredibly fun to think about, write, and design.
**Product Hunt members can download the dang thing for A DOLLAR (usually $10).**
All I ask is what any humble, self-promoting maker/hunter would ask - if you think it's funny and it gives you a few moments respite from hectic professional life...share with a friend!
Thanks!
Andrew
