I built AltClaw because I was tired of AI agents feeling like "black boxes." You click a button, magic happens behind a curtain, and if it fails, you have no idea why. I’m a huge fan of goja (running JavaScript logic inside Go), and I wanted to see if I could use it to build an agent that was completely transparent. I wanted a tool that my non-tech friends could use on their desktops, but that I could also host on my own server and geek out on via CLI. The Desktop GUI shows you the agent's logic in real-time. No hidden prompts. The Web UI for self-hosting is identical to the desktop app. Same logic, same feel, wherever you run it. I added a marketplace for modules so you can plug in specific skills without bloating the core engine.
