We built Alora to help preserve the stories that often disappear with time. Important memories live in our parents, grandparents, and in our own experiences, but they are rarely recorded. Alora uses simple prompts to guide people into recording short video memories about family, childhood, and life moments. Videos stay stored locally on device, so stories remain private. Our goal is to help families preserve perspectives and voices that might otherwise be lost. We'd love your feedback.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Xavier, the creator of Alora. I built Alora because I realized that many of the most important stories in our lives are never recorded. The memories of our parents, the experiences that shaped us, the moments we wish we had asked more about — they often disappear with time. Alora uses simple prompts to help people record short video memories about family, childhood, friendships, and meaningful life moments. A key decision when building Alora was privacy. Videos are stored locally on your device. There is no cloud storage, no social feed, and no algorithms — just your stories. Over time, the idea is that Alora becomes a personal archive of memories and perspectives that families can keep for generations.
