This is awesome and something I'd like to use on Product Hunt. from Algolia is also a great guy. :)
You are now using it on Product Hunt, Right?
- custom demos are (1) awesome and (2) fantastic way to sell. Good stuff! How has the YC experience been so far? Any surprises (good or bad) that you didn't expect going into it?
Hey guys, check out the demo we built on Product Hunt with Algolia PS: It's not updated in realtime as we are currently crawling the website.
Thanks for your feedback. - Our technology is on database search and updating in realtime through an API. Our main use case is searching on object in a database, not pages. - The demo has not be updated since it have been created several weeks ago for . We are actually discussing with him to fully integrate it on PH ;) - Same that the previous question. Hope to come back to you soon with some good news. Have a great wednesday!
Thanks Ryan! Happy to answer any question. The CTO, Julien Lemoine, will also be around to answer technical questions.
Wow, that's pretty slick ! Well done!
Hey Ryan, thanks for asking :) As I don't attend the meetings (as I'm not a founder), I will let Julien answer!
Thanks for your positive feedback Ryan. Our YC experience is very positive so far, the main value is to have the team in the same place 24/7 focused on execution. The YC network is also very impressive !
some feedback: - New (database) content needs to be pushed to the your API; I would love to have a way where I point to my site's sitemap.xml file, and you guys crawl it and automaticly update it. - UX; e.g. in your PH demo, I type a word, and one match comes up. I press enter, or the zoomglass icon, but nothing happens. I have to manually click the result, kind of counterintuitive for a search field. - UX; please add keyboard arrow support to roll through the results (and enter to select).
