AirBar - Connect to your AirPods in a click

I use my AirPods with my iPhone and Mac extensively but was always disappointed that the "seamless switching" would not automatically pick the audio source to use with my AirPods. To ease the pain of manually switching bluetooth devices on Mac I created this small utility to allow to force connect to my AirPods on my Mac from a tap on the menubar.

I was just seething about this the other day. Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for making it!
Apple needs to build this into control center on iOS.
already built ! You can access it from the volume tab bar icon
Where is this? I can't find it..latest iOS, iPhone 8. I built an automator app for the Mac that does what AirBar does, but I want the same thing on the phone. I switch back and forth a LOT.
i found it...you have to go into the audio card "Music" then click the device picker (concentric circles / triangle icon). Still buried but better than having to open bluetooth settings. This should be surfaced directly on control center as an option (audio source).
I know it‘s a mac dominated world here but can somebody copy it for Windows 😎

The ease of knowing if you're connected without having to open the bluetooth menu is great. The single click to connect is just the added bonus.

Pros:

Quick glance to see if airpods are connected

Cons:

No option to open on start up.

It just useful as I thought, thx you guys.
This is awesome!
Toothfairy is better and the original.
this one is just the minimalist version
Dam, that sucks because now I have to get AirPods!
Don't get AirPods just for this. They are the worst product Apple has ever made. You have to factory reset them all the time because strange things happen like they stop connecting, left channel or right channel just stops working, etc, etc.
Brilliant. But I'm not on Mojave yet, so I wish it supported older OSs
Thank you so much for this amazing tool 🙏
