AI Canvas is a local-first desktop canvas for producing AI short dramas — built with Tauri 2 + React 19. One drama = many episodes: each episode gets its own canvas, while the whole series shares a character library, assets and project memory — so your cast stays consistent from episode 1 to episode 50. Deep ComfyUI integration, a conversational AI agent with tool calls, Blender director stages, and full asset management. Media stays on disk; API keys in the OS credential store.

I started this because making AI short dramas felt like juggling five apps — scripts here, character refs there, ComfyUI somewhere else, and episode 5's protagonist no longer looked like episode 1's.

So I built one local-first canvas to hold the whole production: episodes as canvases, a shared cast library, ComfyUI wired in, an AI agent that can actually edit the canvas (with your approval), and Blender stages for storyboarding.

It's source-available today, and I've committed: at 10k GitHub stars, the codebase goes MIT. ⭐
