Why is abookmark also a tab manager? Bookmarks and tabs are closely related. It's natural for the two to come together. In abookmark, bookmarks and tabs are one thing in different forms. A bookmark is a stored tab. A tab is a bookmark alive. So, you can store tabs into bookmarks and restore them later. Abookmark can bind a bookmark folder with a browser window, which is called folder sailing. In this mode, the bookmark tree becomes a tab bar. If you delete a tab, the corresponding bookmark will be deleted too. If you update a tab, the corresponding bookmark will be updated the same... In this way, you can edit a folder when you surfing. The folder sailing can also be used as a workspace manager. A folder is a workspace, and a sub-workspace. There are some keyboard shortcuts to create folder or transfer between folders in sailing. A folder is a form of tab group. Tab groups help you to keep more tabs open. Folders help you to have less tabs open. They solve the same problem in different ways. The folder sailing mode has some similarities with Workona, Tabs-Outliner and tree-style-tab (firefox), but they are designed for different purposes. Folder sailing is a tool to manage bookmarks and tabs. It is not a generic tab bar, but the power of folder sailing depends on how you use it. Abookmark is a rethinking of bookmarks. It is not necessary to use all the features. After all, it is a bookmark manager.
