The Problem Traditional graphing calculators (like Desmos or GeoGebra) are powerful but have a steep learning curve. They require users to know complex mathematical syntax and often lack intuitive, natural-language-based controls. Furthermore, students, educators, and professionals must frequently use separate applications for 2D, 3D, and statistical graphing, creating a disconnected workflow. The Solution I developed Graphgpt, a web-based, AI-powered graphing calculator that unifies 2D, 3D, and statistical charting into a single, intuitive platform. The core of the solution is the AI Assistant, which interprets natural language and voice commands (e.g., "Plot a sine wave from 0 to 2pi") to generate graphs instantly, removing the barrier of complex syntax. I built this as a full-stack SaaS (Software as a Service) application with a freemium model. It uses Firebase Authentication for user accounts and Cloud Firestore to save user graphs to the cloud, enabling features like a graph gallery and unique shareable links. The "AI Credits" system is managed through Razorpay-integrated subscription plans. For educators, I designed a unique "Explain Mode" that transforms the graph into an interactive teaching tool for demonstrating calculus concepts like gradients (tangents) and area under the curve.
