We have reviewed 100 robust landing pages created by and for large companies such as Google, Unbounce and UpWork. None of them are perfect, though. Today we are excited to share with you our research and provide some amusing (and meaningful!) statistics. We hope that it will help you build a highly converting landing page that will work towards your financial success. The analysis is based on 12 parameters: - Page length – The length of the page layout (short, average, or long). - Copy length – The number of words in a landing page copy, including testimonials and headlines. ‘Longer’ doesn’t always mean ‘better’ when it comes to conversion. Sometimes it’s better to get straight to the point rather than overwhelm your visitors with tons of information, which they don’t really need at the moment. - Navigation removed – There should be no navigation links on a good landing page. Unfortunately, most landing pages serve as homepages, so it is impossible to remove the navigation completely. However, it can be hidden inside a hamburger button, or moved to the bottom of the page. - CTA above the fold – Whether the CTA button is accessible instantly after the page is loaded. This showcase features some effective landing pages, which don’t have their call-to-action buttons placed in the above-the-fold area. - Contrasting CTA – Whether the CTA button is highlighted with color, and clearly visible. For this very reason, ghost buttons don’t work well as primary CTAs. - Multiple CTAs – Whether the CTA is repeated throughout the landing page layout. It’s a common practice to place one CTA button in the beginning of the page, and one in the end. - Social proof – Testimonials, prominent clients, media mentions, etc. Video/Animation – Usage of product videos and animations is a sure way to grab attention and increase conversion rates. - Benefit-oriented copy – Whether the copy is written for humans, easy to read, and user-focused. In other words, the copy shouldn’t look like a generic End User License Agreement. - Numbers used – Whether the copy includes enticing numbers such as stats, achievements, etc. - Live chat – Whether the landing page allows its visitors to contact its owners via live chat. - Load Time – How long it takes to load a landing page. Slow pages lose traffic due to high bounce rate scores. Quick Sprout is also on the list, your comment is welcomed :)
