Hello Product Hunters! We are beyond excited to release our latest and greatest iOS update! We have some amazing new features including revamped search, 3D Touch actions, Peek and Pop, 1Password Watchtower and a TON more! We'll be here all day to talk about the release, please do not hesitate to come chat here, on twitter, facebook, or https://discussions.agilebits.com!

@cohix What is Watchtower?
Michael Fey
@joshdance @cohix Watchtower is our service that monitors websites for announced vulnerabilities and then notifies you within 1Password. You can read more here: https://blog.agilebits.com/2014/...

@cohix I use Dashlane today. How does 1Password compare to Dashlane?
Connor Hicks
@chakkaradeep Well the #1 difference is that your data never (nope, never) touches our servers. You have the ability to sync with Dropbox, iCloud, or even locally over your WiFi network. We put a huge emphasis on design and usability, including amazing support for iOS VoiceOver. We also strive to support the latest and greatest features on all our platforms! I

@cohix I was unaware that my data can remain completely local. You just sold me :)

Genuinely have no idea how you guys continue to pump out incredible updates for free. Amazing product as always πŸ’•

@steve228uk Thanks! We love giving our friends all the security power we can possibly produce :)

I'm starting to notice a lot of iOS apps (some major ones, like Twitter) have integrated 1Password into their login flow. This and knowing that the team is continuously releasing superb updates, makes this the best password manager application out there. For the 1Password team, do you guys reach out to these developers to encourage 1Password integration, or do they come to this conclusion by themselves?
Connor Hicks
@j_ceniza Thank you SO much for the kind words :) We are always advocating that more and more apps start using our extension! I don't know the particular strategy for getting new apps on board, but I know that twitter's addition was a very happy surprise for us! I'll get someone to provide a more concise answer if at all possible :)
Connor Hicks
@j_ceniza I have been told that this is our best resource! https://agilebits.com/onepasswor... I've also been told that the majority of apps that include our extension do so because their users reach out to them and request it. We really do love our users!

Any possibility of Google Drive as a sync store?
Connor Hicks
@benlikestocode Thanks for letting us know this is something you'd be interested in. This is definatley something we've heard before and I'll make sure your request gets recognized! Cheers :)
Michael Fey
@benlikestocode Hey Ben, thanks for asking. As of right now we have nothing to report on other sync fronts, but we do have your request filed in our bug tracker.
Ian Lurie
Keeps getting better and better. Thanks guys - this makes my life easier all the time.
Connor Hicks
@portentint It means quite a lot to us to hear feedback like this! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out if you have a feature request or bug report :) Cheers from Canada!
Michael Fey
@portentint Cheers Ian, thanks!
Ian Lurie
@cohix @portentint OK, here's one that's nuts: Could 1P eventually integrate with Google Pay?
Connor Hicks
@portentint What kind of integration did you have in mind?
Ian Lurie
@cohix @portentint Let me 'turn on' Google Pay via 1Password on my phone. So instead of copying password from 1Password and then pasting it in to log into GPay on my phone, let me one-click it.
Edwin Toh
Can I hijack this to ask about Android support? When will it get fingerprint unlocking just like iOS? :)
MikeT
@edtoh Soon, check the reply from the CEO here: https://discussions.agilebits.co...
Connor Hicks
@mikhailt @edtoh It's currently in alpha, will be hitting beta soon! :)

I fail to see why iOS app updates need to take on the form of epic tomes. Fortunately a TL;DR para sums up the gist of it. It would be nice to see you milking your corner of the market a little less and making what is first and foremost a utility more closer appear as just that.
Connor Hicks
@tomflemming Glad you like the new search! @mrrooni was the hero there! We know that many people love using our product, and we want to show them that we enjoy building it just as much! We put a ton of work into everything, including release notes, I hope you can appreciate that :) I'm glad you thought the TL;DR was a good summary.

As a recent convert to 1Password for all my OTP needs (I've been using for passwords forever), I have to say I wish there was an option to fill these as well. The integration on iOS (and browser) is great, but on mobile, I have to manually open 1Password and copy my OTP and switch back to the site/app to enter.
Connor Hicks
@jadojodo Hey! This feature is available to developers using our extension, so it's up to them to include it :) Read more about that here! https://blog.agilebits.com/2015/...

Been using 1Password for years. Love it. Tried a few others and they left me frustrated.

I love one password! Simply the best solution out there. I really like the ability to share vaults with my family and colleagues. That is an invaluable feature.
