Market research got an upgrade
Receiving early feedback for your project or start-up idea can make the difference between launching or not, but it’s not always an easy get. Life can get in the way, and not everyone wants to jump on a “quick” Zoom call to help validate your idea.
Enter ChatGPT.
The team behind AI Characters launched Feedback with GPT today, a highly tuned chatbot built on ChatGPT to be a feedback machine for all of your ideas.
Open up the app and type in a prompt, something like “Our startup wants to show you the best cafes for co-working” hit enter, and the bot will try to highlight some pros and cons and give you recommendations to better your idea.
This is likely something you can already do with the native ChatGPT, but where Feedback with GPT differs is personas.
The tool has a selection of pre-programmed personas, each with its own judgement about your idea based on its needs and wants.
The AI chatbot we have all been using to write essays, tweets, and even full-blown applications can now provide actionable feedback like it’s your best friend, a teacher, a nurse, or our personal favorite: a Product Hunt user.
Taking traditional market research to a new level: The tool uses current technology to cut out in-person and surveyed feedback cycles to provide instant results.
Future product improvements tipped by Maker Andrew include creating characters tailored to individual personas unique to each project or idea.
Would you trust AI feedback over a real person? Let us know in the comments.
So if you’ve been mulling over an idea in your head for some time, then maybe it’s worth…

We asked 34 customers what Viktor does for them. Not one said chatbot.

They kept using words like colleague, coworker, team member. One CEO called it the glue holding their e-commerce business together, which is a lot, but also… you see why. It lives in Slack and plugs into 3,000+ tools, so instead of jumping between tabs, you just ask for the thing. Pull Stripe against HubSpot, check Sentry alerts, spin up a campaign brief, build a landing page, send a report upstairs. It all happens there.
It has already hit top 5 on Product Hunt with 130 comments, is SOC 2 certified, and your data does not train models. One user said it was the first time AI felt like a real coworker, which is either exciting or slightly concerning depending on your week.
