Clearly, both are important. But what do you prioritize? Personally, I put marketing at the top

It depends on the market. If it's B2B, then the product itself is more important because companies evaluate functionality rather than marketing (although marketing, of course, plays a big role). For B2C, it's 99% marketing.

I believe that if you have a great product, then it speaks for itself, and as a result marketing will be much easier. I always felt like those companies relying heavily on marketing (including lots of ads) are compensating the lack of a truly great product. If you have both, you have a recipe for success :)
@filippo_pietrantonio totally agree. The better the product, the lower ROI in advertising, the more you will be willing to spend. On the flip side of your product isn’t as good, it’s going to cost you a fortune and you will also have a churn. Lower lifetime value of a customer

A great product can let to Product Led Growth (PLG), which is actually what a lot of companies prioritize. But it's very hard to do and traditional marketing channels are often still an important add-on.

You can have a great product with really bad marketing and no one's ever going to know it's a great product. But you can definitely market your product in a way that makes it seem way better than it is.

I think product should always be prioritized but that is given that you've got RR already haha

Good question, I think while marketing and product should have action at the same time, Marketing is more important than product. The purpose of Marketing is to keep us together with users all the time to collect feedback for adjusting the product. So, making sure the feasibility of business success by Marketing is more important.

I put product at the top ... But one that is not mentioned and that is even further up: the TEAM

I don't think one goes without the other. 🤝 Also, I think it depends on the ability to effectively communicate and show the product's value. Even the best product may go unnoticed without effective marketing, while strong marketing alone may not sustain long-term success without a quality product to back it up. 😌

I think It's a balance. A great product forms the foundation, but effective marketing is crucial for reaching and convincing customers. Both are essential for long-term success.

I'm sure one doesn't work without the other. Still, both the quality of the product and its promotion are important, so it makes sense to turn to experienced marketers who will help you find effective marketing strategies. I think I can recommend Twitter Advertising Agency as really good specialists who will find an excellent solution for any business.
