At Specify, I'm obsessed with the retention rate:
The lower, the better.
Weโre building a Design API. So, when users spend less time on the app, it means the setup moment is optimized.

We are a PLG SaaS platform. We regularly track
1. Entire funnel (Visits --> Signup --> Conversions --> Churn/Retention)
2. Product usage at a feature level
We also define specific cohorts and track above data points. Really helps in going deeper in data and understanding user behaviour.

user activity by daily actions
I'm at a large startup - but within my space, I'm tracking....
- How many people sign-up and never come back
- The amount of times people come back, on average.
They sound similar - maybe even the same - but the levers you pull to impact them are quite different :)
