Last week we had our launch and finished as #3 product of the day, it was an amazing experience for us. https://www.producthunt.com/post... We are going to share our journey in a detailed way and open a discussion for AMA this week. What do you think about the next step of the Product Hunt launch? Any tips and suggestions are welcomed πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

@satish_kumar_veluri we will, we are building in public! You can check my Twitter account to be up to date, https://twitter.com/productivelif. Also, our aim is to launch a side-product once a month, so we will be active here πŸš€

Well i assume you already have a gameplan crafted before you launched :) I found this article interesting. https://every.to/divinations/wha...

@nikolas_dimitroulakis Thank you Nikolas for the great article πŸ’ͺ🏼 Yes, our plan was to gain feedback and improve the product with our users, we will stick to it but is there anything else?

Sit back and enjoy the view of the results of your hard work: An awesome app that spreads smiles across teams worldwide. Congratulations on the launch. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Didn't have a chance to see this - Congrats on the launch!

My suggestions: - try to take advantage of any PR that comes your way after the launch - engage with the new users that registered - highlight the achievement on your website We have the badge in the footer of our website and have already received a few positive responses from investors who checked out Collabwriting. It's simple, but it shows that even if you're early stage, there is still an audience that found your product useful/engaging.

Monitoring product hunt discussions is a good idea. You can tag your product in your answers using the "!" key. You will have the option to relaunch in 6 months if you make a major product update. You can also claim your product hub page: https://help.producthunt.com/en/... It is quite a new feature, but I'm expecting it to become important in the futur.

Elif, great discussion! We're still mid-launch today (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...) but will be following this discussion for tips on what to do next week! Thanks for your support on our launch - saw your lovely comment πŸ™

Saw your launch - you did a great job with it. I'd say track retention metrics and test until you have those trending up!
Elif Duran
@derick_park We keep the retention, thanks! Is there any tool that you can recommend?

I'm a few weeks behind you, @elifduran - great seeing the conversations around BeforeSunset. Are you curating a community anywhere outside PH? We launched a slack community a couple weeks ago with the intention being to funnel people there, which is the objective of our launch campaign and coming soon pages. Curious if you think PH accomplishes this instead?
Elif Duran
@heymikenash Hello Mike, we have a slack community too, but the funnel is more open and active in PH community, people are ready to give feedback, tries and share their thoughts.

Keep marketing it and you'll keep on getting more users!

β€’ Reach out to those who used your product and interview them β€’ Launch again and again β€’ Keep shining in the community discussions

I would say following up with people who tried your product is a good thing. With the number of smart people trying your product on launch day, one can learn a lot
