The problem with this is that others who are struggling with their own product growth think they are not doing well.

Things I've found that work when you are building in public:

1.Sharing step-by-step guides on how to tackle problems
2. Being vulnerable, asking for help on problems
3. Sharing the free resources you use so that others can benefit as well
4. Sharing your thought processes in a thread

When people ask you questions, always engage and add value.
You can also use the #buildinpublic hashtag on Twitter for visibility.
