Getting your first links for your SaaS website may seem challenging.
However, here are some initial tips to get the ball rolling:
1. Initial Brand Partners from LinkedIn or ProductHunt: Just like you, there are other brands looking to grow.
Identify brands that are indirectly competing with you but serve the same market.
Propose cross-promotions of your posts or landing pages where it makes sense.
2. Guest Posts: Yes, the formidable guest post is still alive in 2024.
When applied correctly, it can increase your site's authority and drive traffic to your pages.
3. List Posts: List posts are an excellent way to get your brand recognized.
These posts often attract relevant traffic as they are already ranking for specific keywords.
It's a great way to piggy-back off that existing traffic. Look for list posts such as:
- Best [your offer] tools/software
- Top [your offer] tools/software
Need more targets? Explore your competitor's backlink profile.
It's guaranteed that they're listed on a post somewhere.
Secure those backlinks by gaining placement on those posts.
However, be aware that some websites may request payment or something in return, as they likely won't add your product for free.
Try to negotiate by featuring their brand in your guest post campaign or simply by paying the editorial fee (as long as the site appears legitimate).
Can't sugarcoat it; that's how the world works. 🤷♂️
You can't get value without giving value back.
