How important is UI/UX for an app?

Extremely important for post-MVP phases. MVPs shouldn't focus on delivering world class UI. UX, however, starts way before your users begin to use the app. Make promises that you can live up to and change your user's life. When your UX is nothing but a fancy UI but can't make meaningful change to your user's, you have nothing but a cool looking frontend.

I read somewhere this line "Design used to be the seasoning you’d sprinkle on for taste; now it’s the flour you need at the start of the recipe". And i think this is more than enough to know that how important UI/UX is in today's world.

Apps basically depend on UI/UX.

The UI/UX is important for two primary reasons. The first reason is customer satisfaction. It only means how well the customer feels after using the app. The second factor is the success of the app. If your UI/UX is good, the customer will love it, use it more often, and recommend it to their friends. When you have many customers, it will be an opportunity to make money.

Likewise, the heart is essential for our body, UI/UX is vital for an app!

A good UI helps load the app faster and provides the users with a top-notch user experience in term of navigation.

Glad that you asked this question. UX is extremely important for the product to succeed. We revamped our UX a few months ago and saw a whooping 50% increase in conversions just because of this. Retention also improves significantly with a solid UX. I can't insist more on having a great UX.

A well designed UI/UX help draw in traffic, keeps the users engaged, and therefore has a direct implication on boosting the conversion rate for a business.

I'd say it's the most important but not for idea validation in your MVP. Idea validation is to see if your idea solves the problem and if there's any appetite to purchase. Unless your product is directly tied to UX (like a no-code product for example) then it can wait a bit. But your UX is the first thing people see and it directly connects with people's emotions. People buy with their emotions first and justify with logic later.

UX/UI Design plays an essential role in achieving this goal. The UX/UI Design of the application improves the user experience and customer satisfaction which ultimately helps increase the number of users of the specific application. UI/UX not only improve the application's workflow but also makes it visually appealing.
What kind of question is this? What are you really trying to get out of this question? You should at least put your own opinion or why you are asking this question.

User interface and user experience (UI/UX) are critical for any app. Poor UI/UX can make it difficult or even impossible for users to use your app, which could ultimately lead to its downfall. There are a number of factors that go into creating good UI/UX, including the following: –The look and feel of the user interface must be intuitive and easy to navigate. –All elements of the UI should be consistent with one another so that users don't have to spend time trying to figure out how things work. –Your screens should load quickly so that users don't become frustrated or bogged down by unnecessary delays. –User input needs to be accurately handled in order to provide accurate feedback about what is happening onscreen.

Good UI/UX will help you in building brand image and connecting to your customers.

Pleasant UI is important for brand image. Solid UX is a key for self-service apps. All-in-all both need to be on a decent level to gain customers.

Whether user will stick to your app or not will be hugely dependent on UI/UX. It is the soul of the app.

UI/UX is massively important. Breaking that down... Invest 80% in UX and 20% UI UX If you read app reviews, very few people complain the app isn't pretty enough. They complain if it fails to solve their problems, or hinders them getting the job done, or inconveniences them. UI An app that looks ugly will put people off, but not as much as you think (hence 20%).

You are designing an interface wether you like it or not. The only question is wether you’ll do it intentionally and with quality or not. So I guess you just have to ask yourself, do I care about the way customers interface with my product or not

It is necessary to make an app interesting for users. More satisfied users -> more recommendations to users' friends/teammates etc. -> more downloads and purchases!
