How do you handle feedback and critiques on your design work?

Hi elif :) well at all it is a feedback. And a user feedback is very important. The thing is you just need to evaluate if the feedback is objectiv or personal. I´ve had some critiques from professional designers but thats fine - i want to learn from the best and try to improve cause every design is a unique one and some will like it and some will not

Regardless of the kind of work, feedback is a great way to get a new perspective on our work. We should of course take it with a grain of salt but it's an opportunity to improve and grow.

Hi Elif, for me constructive feedback is a stepping stone for improvement even if it does not feel so good at that point of time.

Feedback is a review for our work, we should take it in a positive way and keep on improving ourselves.

I take feedback as an opportunity from real customers or users. It allows us to improve our UX.

Showcase Improvement: When presenting revised work, highlight how you've incorporated the feedback. This demonstrates your ability to listen, adapt, and improve.

Don't take it personally, and try to always put the users' goals first. Make sure the client/whoever you're getting feedback from is suggesting it from a place of improvement towards the end user and their goals, and not their own subjective tastes.

I try to remove any emotional bias and look at the feedback objectively. I consider the source of the feedback, their expertise, and the validity of their points.

well you got to be open to critique but also not listen to haters

First thing is accepting if it makes sense of the feedback you are getting. If it is genuine, start working on it to avoid flood of such feedbacks. There's always going to be some critiques but if it is like 1-2% of your users, then it's fine else you better work on it.

I view feedback as invaluable insights for refining my design work. Each critique is an opportunity to enhance usability and aesthetics. As a solo developer, I appreciate the diverse perspectives that shape my design decisions. It's a continual learning process that ultimately leads to a more user-friendly experience.
