Hey hunters! Personally, I enjoy listening to music while working and I think it improves my productivity. What about you? Does listening to music at work improve your productivity? By the way, I really like listening to a playlist curated by my team (https://open.spotify.com/playlis...). If you have your favourite workflow playlists, share them in comments!

I prefer to work in silence because I mostly like party music only.
Daria
@joanduarte It would be difficult to concentrate while listening to party music haha! Thanks for sharing!

I love listening to music when I'm working. But it has to be instrumental music or new music for me. If I know the lyrics, it's not going to work!

@mimih_arteaga @daryakhmetova Same here... at those times, I prefer other language music If I know lyrics, i am done. My mind auto-tunes to lyrics and there's no way I am going to create content
Gladys Atienza
No, I also prefer to work in silence.

Definitely! I can't work in silence, and I like to block all the outside noise with music. Certain music also really has an energizing effect on me and makes me super productive.
Olatz Urrutia
@jason_andries1 Totally. I also need music for a type of mood or task like more active and energetic or calm depending on my needs.
Daria
@jason_andries1 Yes, I always try to find the music that corresponds with my mood and a certain task I need to perform

I always like the idea of working with music on and depending what I’m doing it can have the desired effect. But then, I’ll switch to a different task and it seems to get in the way. Odd
Daria
@mattski2000 Yes, I always search for the music that corresponds with my mood and a certain task I need to perform

I usually prefer to work in silence, and sometimes I love to work at a cafe. But at a cafe, the next table's gossip can be quite distracting. In that case, I love to listen to low-fi music to block out noise.
Michael Feeley
Yes!!! Put on your headphones and crank out the work. Music increases my productivity immensely. My wife laughs at me as I will be listening to metal while reading contracts. Helps me concentrate (for some strange reason).
Daria
@michael_feeley For me it would be hard to concentrate while listening to metal haha. But it's great that it helps you! Thanks for sharing!

As someone who loves music, I have found that it can definitely help me to work better in some situations. Specifically, I have found that listening to jazz music while I am working on tasks that require creativity and focus can be incredibly helpful. The soothing and relaxing tones of jazz help to calm my mind and allow me to focus on the task at hand. It also helps to block out any distractions or noise that might be going on around me, allowing me to work in a more peaceful and productive environment. However, I have also found that jazz music is not always the best choice when it comes to strategic thinking or problem-solving. In those situations, I find that silence or more upbeat music is a better fit. Overall, while music can certainly be a helpful tool for increasing productivity, it is important to select the right type of music for the task at hand. For me, jazz works well for certain tasks, but not for all.
Daria
@hemantwarier Yeah, I totally agree. It depends a lot on the situation. I prefer to listen to music when I am in the process of crating content. But at the same time I always work in silence when collecting the statistics

I listen music to get extra boost....and get rid of stress...with out stress the productivity will be more...and yes it helps me to work better
Indu Thangamuthu
Yessssssss! But when I need to be more serious and need deeper thinking, I prefer silence.

For me it's a no :( Lo-fi beats and other relaxing stuff are way too boring for me, and songs with any kind of lyrics take my whole attention. So I prefer working in silence.
Ameet Patel
Great question! Hope you don't mind if I use that as a poll (at https://oipolly.com)?
Rhymer Espinosa
No, not for me. I prefer to work in silence. I got to finish a lot of things without background noises/music. :)
Amy Walsh
Yeah definitely. But it depends on the mood.
Jayesh Soni
Music kind off distracts me and doesn't lets me put my 100% into the work i am doing so i prefer to listen music as a leisure activity
