Most websites DON'T have enough traffic and conversions for A/B tests. People still run tests :( They should do qualitative research (user interviews and user testing).

@olenabomko Came here looking for this comment. Exactly Olena! A/B testing would not help if you don't have sufficient traffic as it would not give you any concrete idea about the users' true desires.

Yes, A/B testing of landing pages is invaluable. It provides data-driven insights, allowing you to optimize and improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall effectiveness.

in 8/9 out of 10 cases, no. Not enough traffic.

We have never done this on our own projects, there is not enough traffic for this. But we have done it several times on clients' projects with a lot of traffic and the results were phenomenal. Conversions to the key action of different variants of landing pages can differ several times!

Not every A/B test necessarily leads to a positive overall economic effect. 5 tips for you to minimize “low-quality” A/B testing. 1. Always check the proportions of the users in your variants. The proportions of men, new users, and owners of new iMacs should be approximately the same for the control and test versions. 2. Consider external factors. For example, you shouldn't stop the experiment in the middle of the week, remembering that the test results may change taking into account the weekend. 3. Make a decision about the winner based on statistical methods that allow you to take into account the randomness factor. 4. Don't interrupt the test. Specify the stop time in advance. It may depend on the required number of users and the calendar factor. 5. In addition to conversion, also run experiments with optimization for financial indicators.

Just talk to a lot of smart people. Iterate along the way. You'll have a better end result than trying to AB test. Also things change so AB tests might work for a while, then the world or your product change and the AB testing isn't working anymore

"I've seen A/B testing of landing pages help businesses of all sizes increase their conversions." This answer is more general, but it still provides helpful information. It shows that A/B testing is a valuable tool that can be used by businesses of any size.

Yes, absolutely - as long as you have enough traffic to get a realistic result.
