Do you use any other channel for a soft launch before launching on Product Hunt?

I can think of personal following in social media, friends and immediate network.

Better to do a soft launch before PH?

If yes, how to get people for the soft launch without a personal following.

@clement862 Yes, it does.  But if you start it day one before your first line of code you can actually have some traffic by the time you launch.

Also, if you target very specific long tail keywords in your niche that have low competition you can get traffic a little more quickly.

SEO reminds me of a famous quote "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.  The second best time is today."
