Does it matter if your app was purely "vibe coded" for acquisitions?

I've been having a lot of fun exploring AI and using tools like @Cursor, @bolt.new, @Lovable, and @Warp to learn how to build and make some apps for myself! I'm also noticing a tremendous amount of growth in folks creating their own apps using these same tools which has me wondering... if a company wanted to acquire someone's app or tool that was built via vibe coding, would it matter how it was built? Does the method of how it was built impact the valuation?
In my idealistic eyes, I'd like to think it doesn't. As an acquisition is often much more than just the tech but also the user base, brand, and even team behind the product. If anything I think that acquiring a product that has been "vibe coded" and putting them into capable engineering hands would only enhance the product...or a least make the code base cleaner.
I also believe that talent that is able to create stunning products with AI is currently a small percentage of folks, and that companies should be investing in acquiring that talent (either independently or via product acquisition) so that they can stay ahead in innovation while learning how to implement AI tools more efficiently in their orgs.
Very curious to hear what you all think!

Stricter Discussions (Forums) on the Product Hunt – Bad or Good?

A few days ago I saw some posts here about:

the number of discussions is decreasing,

sometimes they are approved later,

that there is "other community growth" I don't know what was meant by that and I'm just guessing.

A very big thank you to our awesome PH community! πŸ™πŸΌ

Folks - I'm Hoshang, CEO at Airbook.
Ever since we started building Airbook, we've always wanted to first launch on Product Hunt. We'd been speaking to other founders and 10/10 founders always mentioned that launching on PH was the best way to get feedback.
We've had 4 launches so far and you guys got us to the #1 Product of the Day, twice! It gave us incredible visibility and more importantly, we got some tremendously helpful feedback from the community. It's pretty hard to otherwise get your initial users to get on the product and give it a good try and take the time to share feedback. If it was not this community, we wouldn't have come so far.
This week has been incredibly exciting for us. We launched the biggest release of Airbook. Once again, got some super helpful feedback. Every vote, comment, signup means a lot and we as a team go through each and everyone's feedback and make notes on what we can offer next!

Your requests become our roadmap and that's how we build and iterate, together!
This community is a part of our team and we're all very grateful to have your support!
I'd love to take this opportunity to just say a very big Thank you!

We will be here to share about what we're going to be building next - show you previews (before launch, before anyone else gets to see it ;) get your feedback, answer your questions, share honest stories about what we learn and unlearn, as we keep building!
Stay tuned!
Best,
Team Airbook

Name a Profession That's Not Ready For AI πŸ€–β›”

I've been wondering if there are any professions today that are just not ready for AI? One I can think of are skilled trades like plumbing and electrical work.

They often face unpredictable challenges that demand real-time decision making and provide reassurance to clients something AI can't do.. yet.

What about you? What other professions do you think are safe from the rise of AI?

πŸš€πŸš€Launch First or Audience First?πŸŒŽπŸ€πŸ“£

Hello Product Hunt Community!
I'm curious to get insight from people who have launched before on this platform.
Should you launch first or build an audience and community before launching?

I did some research from the community and found useful links that I've come across on PH so far! The most interesting one that stands out to me was Upvote Bell which helps you track trends in real time.

I left my job to build

Hey Product Hunt Community!

After 10 years of immersing myself in the world of engineering and project management, witnessing the struggles of teams drowning in meeting notes, outdated documentation, and constant project analysis catch-up, I've taken the leap! At first, I felt nervous but the excitement of solving a frequent problem quickly overtook any doubts. Typical startup rollercoaster story am I right?

What's most important for success in tech?

Hey Product Hunt community, I wanted to get your take on something that's been on my mind.

The other day, I was chatting with a founder who had poured years into building an amazing product, only to realise there wasn't a real market need. It made me wonder: as builders and enthusiasts, how can we avoid this trap?

Is AI memory feature the next standard for AI? ChatGPT or Gemini's memory feature?

One of the biggest pain points in AI chatbots has been their forgetfulness having to repeat the same context over and over again. AI memory aims to solve this by allowing models like ChatGPT and the newly launched Gemini to retain past interactions.

But how well do these memory features work? Which AI ChatGPT or Gemini handles memory better? And more importantly, does AI memory provide more value in personal use or enterprise settings?
