About

I’ve worked as an application engineer and a infrastructure engineer. I have stay at major manufacturer for 12 years and I experienced several enterprise projects. In particular, I have experienced a customer-developed original framework project for 5 years. This framework was an important infrastructure system which many core systems run, and I have worked with a special tension and hardship. And I have worked as infrastructure engineer for big data analysis infrastructure.

The first ten users should have been easier to retain. Nobody warned me of that.

It took a weekend of direct messages to get ten people on board. Four months in, and I'm still at only six.

One thing that has been surprising is the level of personal loss when it comes to churn. Every churn is a 10% loss, but more importantly, a specific person who no longer replies to your emails. I spent an entire Tuesday crafting an email to a single user, then never hit send.

Does option overload scare away paying customers?

I used to think a thorough pricing page was essential for building trust. Our had multiple tiers a 14-row breakdown, and answers to every question imaginable.

Out of frustration I cut all the noise and left just one straightforward offer on the page. The result? Our sales went up significantly.

It felt like users were previously getting overwhelmed by the choices and leaving to "think about it."
