How did you come up with your product idea?

I'm amazed by the number of products that launch on PH every day. I think it would be cool to know what inspired you to build your product.

For me, I desperately was trying to solve my own problems and frustrations. For nearly 20 years that I'm building online communities, I realised that our competition didn't solve for the two most basic problems:

  1. Organic Growth

  2. User Retention

Best practices I'm seeing for early product-market validation at MIT

One of the biggest questions every early-stage founder faces today is: How do I launch my startup in this new era of AI-driven product development? It s so easy to build quickly now. Do I build first or validate first?

Personally, I ve seen hundreds of startups born in the past year. I m a grad student at MIT, and I created an AI accelerator for MIT and Harvard, so a lot of those startups have had amazing founding teams. I want to share some of the best practices I m seeing for getting products into market in an era where a lot of the old best practices seem to be shifting.

RIP Windsurf :'(

Windsurf's CEO and key employees are leaving for Google, after the OpenAI deal fell through.

How to prep your Product Hunt content in advance when you're travelling

If you re reading this post, it s at least 2 weeks old. I m currently away, and in situations like this, it s better to be prepared.

Here s my process that helps me stay (somewhat) consistent even when I m short on time and not available in real time:

  • Batch-create evergreen content that can be shared anytime, or content tied to a recurring season or trend. (If you find time while travelling, you can still jump on current topics, but be aware, it might distract you from the trip.)

  • Prepare your content at least 2 weeks before your trip.

  • Create at least 4 extra posts beyond what you need. For example, if I m travelling for 9 days, I ll prepare 13 posts, just in case something goes wrong or unexpected travel issues come up.

  • Set a fixed time to respond to comments (e.g. 9 AM), or block out a time window for engagement, so you don t get sucked into it during the day.

  • Keep a running file of content ideas throughout the year, including brainstorming sessions with ChatGPT. It ll make content selection much easier in the future.

What’s the one tool in your tech stack that saves you hours every week?

We all have that one tool - the unsung hero quietly doing its job and saving you hours every single week.

For me (no surprise ), it s @Clueso

What piece of advice would you give to someone who wants to start building a personal brand?

I can safely say that Product Hunt is the first platform where I managed to achieve a relatively large number of followers as a person.

(It wasn't the plan, because the plan was to focus on the Slovak community on Instagram, and I'm honestly glad it didn't work out.)... Anyway...

Built InterviewOS — Other Tools Throw Questions. We Simulate Pressure.

Hey folks,

Just wanted to share something I ve been working on for a while it's called InterviewOS.

I built it because interview prep just sucks. Most platforms either throw random questions at you, or expect you to watch hours of YouTube hoping something sticks. It s either too passive, too fake, or just boring as hell.

InterviewOS is different. It simulates full interview rounds with an AI interviewer that actually talks to you, asks follow-ups, gives real-time feedback, and scores your answers. You can practice tech rounds, intros, leadership stuff everything.
