How many customers do you get from ChatGPT ?

Over the last few months more and more companies have shared that ChatGPT has become one of their top acquisition channel

Some examples:

Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel, explained that they went from getting 1% to 10% of their sign-ups coming from ChatGPT within 6 months

Marie Martens, Co-founder of Tally, said that they scaled from 2 to $3M ARR in the span of 4 months thank to a major influx of customers coming from ChatGPT & Perplexity

Non-tech founder here — can I safely change my WordPress blog theme?

I recently took over the blog operations for our SaaS product. The blog was originally built with WordPress by a former tech team member. I m not a developer, so I m trying to figure things out as I go.

Now I d really like to update the look and feel by switching to a new theme. But I m worried will changing the theme mess up our existing blog SEO or page structure?

Would it make sense to have job postings on Product Hunt?

I may be wrong, but a few years ago, job opportunities were promoted here by companies when they wanted to find someone to join their team.

This is also a question for founders or companies:

Would it make sense to onboard tech-savvy or business-oriented people from here?

⚡ Dropped out to take risks and solve problems. (Come say hi!)

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Ethan.

I m a college dropout who couldn t stop building. Over the past few years, I ve launched a bunch of free projects, built out of curiosity, not for growth or monetization, but because they felt worth doing.

Most of them revolve around making expert knowledge more accessible (the kind of stuff that s valuable but hard to find or use).

Right now, I m building something new in the AI/health space. Still early, but if you re exploring healthcare, LLMs, or just like building things that matter, I d love to connect.

What's the one AI feature you wish existed but doesn't yet?

Hey everyone!

As AI tools are proliferating everywhere, I'm curious about what one AI capability you wish existed but haven't found yet?

For me, it's an AI that can truly understand context across multiple apps and help me automate workflows without breaking when I make a small change.
What about you? What AI gap are you hoping someone will fill in 2025?

Building a Newsletter in public: Here’s What We’ve Learned

Do VCs or investors investigate what projects they invest money in? (Related to the latest faux pas)

Most startups that VCs invest in do not survive or succeed as originally planned.

According to statistics, only 1  2 out of 10 VC-backed startups end up as a major success or unicorn.

We lost a $50M deal. Here’s why—and what I learned.

A few years ago, while working full-time with an IT services firm, we lost a $50M deal with a leading telco in the GCC.

We had built early rapport with the head of their technical team.

So much so, we deployed senior solutioning leaders into their office for over a year.

Our team helped:

why most startup SEO fails (and how we’re solving it)

I've worked with dozens of early-stage teams and saw the same pattern:

they want organic traffic

they publish a few blog posts

What is the best feature of your product and how would you describe it?

We sell daily.

Not only in our business life, but also in our personal life.

What we need to do is convince people that our product or our personality is the best possible option they can choose from.

Are you building features or killing features (i.e. simplifying your products)?

Just yesterday I prevented my team from adding an exotic feature to our product.

My hypothesis is that people don't like many features in a product as that complicates the product adoption e.g. many sales guys hate CRMs for this reason. In that sense, more features might equate to no features as users don't adopt/use the product. So, minimalistic products that solve 1 big problem (80% of the problem pie) is what people like.

That's what I think.

🚀 One Week After Launch — Big Thanks & What’s Next

Just a week ago, we launched our app on Product Hunt with a simple message: Replace forms with a chatbot.

We had a barely working prototype and zero expectations.

How do you approach SEO for ChatGPT (AI) purposes?

I won't hide the fact that instead of entering key phrases into Google, I'm now redirected to the GPT Chat and asking complex questions.

Over the past year, ChatGPT has become the 5th most visited website in the world, and most recently, it also recommends products.

How do you track all the digital tools, domains & subscriptions you’ve bought over the years?

Over the past few years, I ve ended up with a scattered stack of tools domains, SaaS subscriptions, plugins, licenses, hosting, etc.

Some are in Google Keep, some in emails, and others I forgot I even signed up for.

I m curious how do you track everything you ve purchased for your projects or startup?

  • Do you use a password manager?

  • Manual spreadsheet?

  • Some kind of custom-built dashboard?

How to overcome the fear of flopping a launch in Product Hunt?

Launching a product that I've been working on for a while, solving a problem that I am passionate about, and truly believe can help thousands of people. But then, getting nothing other than crickets from the community, seems like a very daunting prospect to me.
I'd love to know if you have had a flop launch in the past, what did you do to turn it around. Or if you haven't turned around, what are you planning to do?
What have you learnt from success stories, best practices, things that really make you feel ready for that launch and take anything that you get back from it..?
