Hi all, there's a distinction I keep thinking about: apps built with AI (Cursor, Claude, Copilot writing the code) vs apps that depend on AI APIs at runtime to function.

I'm in the first camp. I used AI-assisted coding heavily to build Briskly (a cleaning app that scans your room and generates a timed task list), but the app itself makes zero LLM API calls. The scanning runs on Apple's Vision framework, entirely on-device. No tokens, no per-user inference costs, no latency, works offline, and my privacy label is basically empty.

I'm a UX Design Manager with many years of design and interaction design experience slowly making my way into the world of context engineering, which is funny because I've worked with engineers for a long time but didnt always understand the jargon. Now I am learning in a practical way ...and also realising daily all the stuff I still know nothing! Im currently working on a cleaning app for people who hate cleaning (i.e. me)

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

1. Grammarly proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

2. ChatGPT / Claude mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

3. Figma I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

4. Translator sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

5. Gmail and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts
