OpenAI is considering buying Pinterest. Do you see this acquisition as promising?

Today, I read in the news that OpenAI is considering "expanding its data footprint" and possibly buying Pinterest, as there is a lot of data on it just for the sake of users finding inspiration (which can be key for purchase decision making and understanding personas Pinterest has 600M+ users).

I also take into account how Pinterest started to resent the proliferation of AI content there users do not like it so much (as far as I know, OpenAI also wants to have its own social network, and Sora curation is a bit reminiscent of that)

Do streaks help consistency, or do they create pressure when you miss a day?

We re building MyStreakBook around streak visibility rather than motivation or reminders.

Some people say streaks help them show up consistently. Others say streaks become stressful the moment they break.

Hi from Tokyo — software engineer exploring AI for tech content curation

Hi everyone. I'm a software engineer based in Tokyo, working on Stream Tech AI an AI-powered service that curates and summarizes Japanese tech articles for the global dev community.

I noticed a lot of valuable content on platforms like Zenn and Qiita rarely reaches developers outside Japan, so I wanted to help bridge that gap. Currently preparing for a Product Hunt launch and would love to connect with others building in the AI or developer tools space.

Advice for a first-time founder when a launch does not meet expectations

If your launch does not go as planned, do not judge it too quickly.
Avoid the instinct to immediately add more features or pivot the product.

Instead, pause and evaluate what already exists.
Check whether the core features are clearly communicated, fully polished, and genuinely solve the intended problem.
Often, the issue is not the idea, but the execution, positioning, or user experience.

Refine what you have. Improve clarity, usability, onboarding, and messaging.
Then relaunch with focus and confidence.

Many products fail not because they were wrong, but because they were unfinished, unclear, or rushed.

The community's products are amazing!

Hi, I learned about this community through a friend's recommendation. I know there are many outstanding people doing great things here, and I hope to learn some experience from the community.

We Finished 5th on Product Hunt – And Here's What Happened Next

Three days ago, I hit "Publish" on Product Hunt for ExtraBar, a menu bar customization tool I'd been building for months.

I honestly didn't know what to expect.

What happened next caught me completely off guard.

Loamly - See what AI says about your brand and detect the traffic

ChatGPT and Claude are the new search. But when someone finds you through AI, it shows up as "direct traffic" in Google Analytics. Loamly fixes this: 1. See what AI platforms say about your brand. Real queries, real answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity. 2. Detect when AI-referred visitors land on your site. Uses RFC 9421 signatures for ChatGPT Operator, navigation timing for others. Free: 5K credits/month. Paid: $89/month for 50K+ events.
