What’s the most frustrating part of using current design tools?

Hello, I'm Leah . I m working with my team to develop a new product.

We re currently building a product specifically for UI/UX designers, and before we go too far, we d love to learn directly from this community.

When you re working with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, what s the part that feels the most frustrating or inconvenient?

  • Collaboration?

  • Handling large, complex files?

  • Maintaining design systems?

  • Something else that slows you down?

ProductHunt “boosters” on LinkedIn

I am now on my 3. release on ProductHunt and right after the release I get a ton of people trying to connect on LinkedIn with the promise to boost my launch. By now I can spot the pattern a mile away: vague guarantees, exclusive pods, and a price tag that mysteriously appears in the second message. On launch day, when you re running on caffeine and hope, that shortcut looks shiny. But in my experience, it warps the signal you actually need: real reactions from people who might use what you built. What s helped more than any boost : Treating launch day like support day answering every question fast. Shipping a tight demo video and a clear what s new thread. Reaching out to existing users the week before with a simple note: Here s what changed. Anything confusing? Sharing in communities where I already show up the other 364 days. I m not anti-promotion; I m anti-fog. If something truly accelerates learning without faking momentum, I m all ears. There s probably nuance I haven t seen yet, and I m curious how other makers filter the noise. If you ve navigated this dance kept it clean, kept it effective how did you do it? What actually moved the needle for you on launch day (or the week after)?

Hi PH đź‘‹ Excited to be here

Hi everyone! I'm Leah!
I work in product operations, and I ve actually known about Product Hunt for quite a while. Over the past years, I ve discovered so many great products here, tried them out, and learned a lot from the community.

But this is my first time formally introducing myself So excited!

Right now, I m working with a small team on an early-stage idea an AI agent designed to help designers with their daily pain points. We re still in the exploration phase, so I m mainly here to listen, learn, and get inspired.

Really excited to finally be part of the conversation and connect with you all

When you launch a product on other platforms, do you use the same launch plan as you do on PH?

Several of you launch your products on multiple platforms that are alternatives to Product Hunt.

  • Do you proceed with preparation and promotion in the same way as when launching on PH, or do you have a slightly "chill" approach and take it less seriously?

  • What is the gap between launching on PH and launching on an alternative platform (+ where do you launch earlier?)

Does build in public really work?

Every day, I notice fewer people sharing their projects here.

A couple of months ago, build in public felt unstoppable: everyone was posting updates, numbers, roadmaps. Now? The hype seems to be fading or maybe makers are just shipping quietly.

[ChangeLog] August 28 — No more “Coming soon” (and a couple other shiny updates) ✨

Hello friends, and welcome back to the changelog. The devs have been running on a balanced diet of espresso shots and questionable amounts of energy drinks, which means you guessed it: fresh updates are here. From saying goodbye to Coming Soon, to giving you a shiny red self-destruct button, to sprucing up Alternatives, and a shiny new footer, we ve packed a lot into this round.

Coming Soon Forum Threads

The old Coming Soon pages have officially retired (and you lot noticed). From now on, every new product you create gets its own forum thread. It is your place to share updates, drop teasers, or just shout into the void while you wait for launch day. People can still follow from your forum page to get notified when you go live, but now you can actually start the conversation early.

How new teams can build community around the product on PH?

I ve been a part of PH for 2+ years now, and I really love it, met real friends like @abdalyousef and @michalhajtas, and I really learn from @busmark_w_nika , @abbas143official . My team (Scade) have launched twice, and we've been active supporting other launches, giving feedback, sharing advice in discussion, connecting with other makers, and speaking about our own product. This helped us become visible on the platform, get feedback before launch and be known to the community on launch day. It lead us to a Product of the day, twice, and even a nomination for Kitty awards.

Now, I m helping a new product with PH launch. Guys are new to PH and they genuinely got involved. They filled out their profiles with real names, photos, bios, and links. They started testing products and giving feedback to makers and asking question, reading discussion, and sharing their thoughts.

But no one can see them. They created accounts about two weeks ago, comment by themselves without AI, but their comments seem useless for PH or what? Product Hunt support keeps pointing to the guidelines, but everything in those rules is followed. Comments are flagged as AI-generated, which is unfair (funny cause this is the team of AI detection experts and the product we aim to launch is on AI detection).

Product Hunt discontinued coming soon / teaser pages. Did they work for you?

I noticed that Product Hunt discontinued the teaser / coming soon section this week, and I m curious if it did help you build genuine traction?

My take (from hunting PH launches):

How to write a Product Hunt comment during the launch day?

First things first:

Don't write the comment during the launch day, but before (prepare everything in advance)
