Many of you sometimes write to me in DMs asking how to position yourself on Product Hunt.
From the question, I always get the feeling that people want to speed up the process, publish something quickly, get a high position in the ranking of launched products and a badge. But this is a long-term game.
This is a recurring topic here and I recently had many related discussions. So, I wanted to share with you three different stories, three different perspectives and approaches for inspiration.
TL,DR: IMHO There's no perfect day to launch. Just launch it.
Slowly but surely, the Christmas holidays are approaching, which usually means more time at home with family and more movie binge-watching.
Yesterday I watched TV for the first time in a while, and they were playing Bezos: The Beginning (2023). A decent movie overall, even though it could ve been longer or had a sequel.
I think it was Robert Kiyosaki who said that straight-A students end up working for C students, and B students work for the government.
On the other hand, we often see stories of college dropouts building billion-dollar companies. But these next big thing cases are maybe 2% at most. I believe top students usually find their place in more formal paths: becoming doctors, lawyers, and similar professions.
It compares evaluating employee performance once or twice a year in formal reviews (annual reviews) versus providing ongoing feedback and coaching (continuous feedback). which is greater in team building?

Sometimes I have a feeling I could use my potential more. E.g. Spending too much time on the internet I could go exercise or read books. Not taking advantage of relationships in terms of networking I should socialise more and ask for help (because I do not do that.). Not being a part of some co-working or so I could have more friends and we could create some projects. ---------- Are you aware of something in your life that keeps you behind?
How do you overcome it or compensate?
Hi all. Sarah here, Head of Content @ Product Hunt. I'm starting up a new article series in our AI newsletter, Deeper Learning, called Ask Kitty. It's a place where you can ask the questions you've been wondering about A.I. but have been too shy to ask. Why? One thing I've learned about A.I. is that a lot of people in tech assume you know a lot of things, and very few people actually know the things (or know them in-depth enough to explain them simply). Sometimes this dynamic prevents us from asking questions. And asking questions is one of the best ways to reduce our knowledge gap. And yes, you could ask ChatGPT, but based on my experience you're unlikely to get the full context you need. Not only will I work to answer your questions, I'll work to find the right people to help me answer them! So ask away!
