Building Ember Origin

About

Founder & CEO of Ember, an AI second brain and team of AI agents for founders. I’ve spent 17+ years building and scaling companies, including co-founding Finalcad (French Next40, $70M+ raised, 200+ people), and advising 100+ founders and scale-ups. I built Ember around one belief: founders rarely lack ambition, they lack clarity when decisions matter most. Ember helps entrepreneurs think, decide and execute faster across strategy, fundraising, sales, finance and growth. Building at the intersection of AI, entrepreneurship and company building.

If entrepreneurship was a game, what would it be?

Building a startup means that you make decisions, take risks, learn from mistakes, change your strategy and try to think a few moves ahead.

For me, it would be chess.

🧑‍🏫 What makes a product pitch deck work?

I think a pitch deck is almost like a passport for a startup =)

It needs to contain all the important information about the business, but at the same time, it has to be presented in the right, clear, and aesthetic way.

I m realizing how difficult that balance actually is...

Too much information - nobody wants to read it.
Too little - the business isn't clear.
Too much design - the message gets lost.
Too little - it becomes just another boring document.
So, I have a lot of questions =D

Is raising money still in demand, or has the sentiment around VC funding changed?

When someone raised money, especially from a prominent VC with a strong reputation, like Antler or Y Combinator, the company immediately sounded more trustworthy to me.

But the latest analysis shared by @4kulia showed that in the first half of the year, only 26 launches were VC-funded.
