Lately, my DMs have been full of this question.
While I can t say exactly what changed after Product Hunt s Aug 25 update (since the featured criteria seem a bit mysterious now), here are a few patterns I ve noticed:

1. Version updates: New versions or re-launches (like Product v2.0) often don t get featured anymore.

2. No freemium or free trial : Launches without a free plan or trial seem to be struggling to get featured.

3. Hunter Featured : Having a well-known hunter doesn t guarantee a feature. In fact, recently, the two seem almost mutually exclusive.

4. Look & feel: Launches that use the same template design or layout as others often get skipped.

One of the common questions I get is How often can you publish a product on Product Hunt?

The guidelines state this clearly:

"You can launch as often as you have new significant product iterations available."

Post our Trust Center launch on 8th at PH, my LinkedIn had close to 4 people dm-ing me that our GPT Ranking is terrible.

Just for context - long story short: We made Trust Center, free for all - at Sprinto. We built 4 major features into our Trust Center that none of our competitor has done:

One thing I ve seen across multiple startups I ve worked with: progress often gets stuck.

Endless planning. Too many async updates. Not enough actual momentum.

I often see the media sharing articles about layoffs due to AI, how junior programmer positions are less in demand, how there is also a decreased interest in copywriters and graphic designers, etc.

IBM also claims that employees are happier. The HR department s internal NPS score increased from -35 to +74 after the implementation of AskHR (source: HR Asia). 6% of questions are still directed at people AI has not yet completely replaced complex or emotionally sensitive situations.

I recently booted up a new macbook and spent about an hour trying (unsuccessfully) to get docker desktop to work reliably.
