About

I’m AJ (Allan) Batac, a solo founder and senior full‑stack developer based in Toronto, building opinionated tools for developers and everyday users. I’ve spent 20+ years shipping web apps, managing cloud infrastructure, and handling everything from DNS to deployment automation for organizations like FSRA. On the side, I run indie projects like Joye (smart resumes from LinkedIn), Kulay (2,550 hand‑picked color palettes), and Sudokuh, because I love turning tiny frustrations into simple, fast, and safe products. When I’m not debugging or refining UX, you’ll usually find me with a camera, reading about the future, or hanging out with my dogs.

Preview your colour palettes on real-world maps

Built on top of 2,550+ hand-picked colour palettes and gradients, Kulay now plugs directly into MapCN so you can test map styles on real cities in seconds.

Here's what you can do:

- Pick any palette in Kulay.ca, send it straight into MapCN, and see it live on a real map (land, water, roads, parks, buildings)

Kulay - Curated Color Library and Color Tools

Send any KULAY palette straight into an interactive MapCN map, preview it on real geography (land, water, parks, roads, buildings), export ready-to-use code in seconds. If you’ve ever tried to make a beautiful, legible map and fought with hex codes one layer at a time, this is for you: - Live map preview with your palette applied across 5 layers - 5‑colour mapping out of the box - One-click copy for production‑ready styles - Search any city and see how your colours behave in the wild

How many weeks do you have left? (and why you should actually care)

I built DotsLife because I got tired of productivity apps that made me feel like I was constantly failing.

You know that feeling? You open your task manager and see 47 things you didn't do. You open your journal app and it asks for a 5-paragraph reflection. You open your calendar and it's just a wall of anxiety.
