I noticed that Product Hunt discontinued the teaser / coming soon section this week, and I m curious if it did help you build genuine traction? 

My take (from hunting PH launches):

Every founder dreams of a big Product Hunt splash, top of the day, hundreds of upvotes, users flooding in. But here s what most don t realize: Product Hunt is not the place to validate your idea.

It s the place to amplify what s already working.

If you wait until launch day to show your product to the world, you ve already lost half the battle.

I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say about this! Especially in tech, the world and people's needs are constantly changing. This means that the products we're creating have to change with it, and the most successful products tell people what they need before they know they need it. As exciting as this is, it's super hard too. Reaching out to fellow trailblazers: what do you think about this? What are some of the tradeoffs?

So why does the smart home still feel like it hasn t clicked for most people?

We ve spent the last year building in this space, and this question keeps coming up, especially outside of early adopter circles.

By engagement, I mean upvotes, comments, shares basically anything that helps your product get to the top of the voting.

Many teams still treat launching on Product Hunt as a one-time thing, like something you do once and move on.

From working with teams who use Product Hunt strategically, I ve seen a different pattern, and I d love to share it here.

So Denmark seems poised to pass a new bill that would give each person exclusive rights over their likeness, including facial features, body, and voice. This effectively treats these personal attributes as a form of intellectual property, making deepfakes illegal through copyright law.

An individual whose likeness has been misused in a deepfake would be able to demand the removal of the offending content from online platforms and seek compensation for damages, and online platforms would be legally obligated to remove the content upon notification.
