Arvid shares his learnings from building FeedbackPanda, a bootstrapped EdTech SaaS business that grew from 0 to $55,000 MRR in two years and was then sold for a life-changing amount. You will learn how to start, run, and sell your own bootstrapped business.
Hello Arvid, I'm so glad this book was published. Following you for some time through thebootstrappedfounder newsletter. Bought it yesterday and I can say it here - this is one of the things I can recommend even before reading. It's a steal at this price. Thanks again for collecting and sharing your experience in one place. All the best
@bruno_raljic Thank you so much, Bruno. I'm very grateful for your support, and I am happy to hear that my newsletter has been insightful for you. Did you know that I started the newsletter to hold myself accountable so that I'd write at least one article a week? :D
Great stuff @arvidkahl . Heard you talking about your Feedbackpanda journey on the Indiehackers podcast and thought it was one of the best episodes so far.
@tillreiter Thank you so much for saying that. It's funny, @mdausinger commented here earlier, and it was particularly his IH interview (at https://www.indiehackers.com/pod...) that made me really want to be on the IH podcast. Recording that show with Courtland was the highlight of my indie hacker journey, I can tell you that. I am honored to hear that you consider it one of the best. Deeply honored. 🥰
I've been following Arvid for a while and listening to his podcasts – delighted to see the book released. I bought my copy yesterday and already a few chapters in. This should be on every founders bookshelf.
I had the opportunity to flip through an advance copy of the book this weekend.
The book is probably the most throughout resource on bootstrapping a SaaS these days. I definitely recommend it if you are currently bootstrapping a SaaS or planning to get started soon.
Arvid describes high-level concepts, common mistakes to avoid and points out things worth spending an extra amount of time on. All while accounting for the fact that every startup is different and that strategies might differ.
Congrats @arvidkahl and @simpsondanik ! 👏👏👏
@simpsondanik@mdausinger Thank you so much Moritz.
I won't ever get tired of telling you how pivotal you were to my entrepreneurial career. It means so much to me to hear you say these kind and encouraging things about my work.
Thank you!

Here in India, I purchased the Kindle edition of the book from Amazon.
One of the most important thing that Zero to Sold shows us, is how to develop that crucial connection between designing a product and eventually selling it. In fact, I have already benefited from the remarkable discussion on surviving a recession as a bootstrapped business. The author has clearly learned a lot from his personal experiences as an entrepreneur.
The book contains sound, practical advice. The sadness/despair associated with bootstrapping is well depicted. The author has an exceptional gift of sculpting and weaving emotions into the narrations.
@dsarkar Wow, that's such a wonderful comment. Thank you for diving into the content and distilling this description. You're making a very valid point: nothing in the book is "imaginary" — it all comes from over a decade of experience in the field. Thank you for the kind and powerful description, Debájit!
