Hi Product Hunt! I’m Alex, and YumLog is my app.
In September I started logging everything I ate by texting ChatGPT. Three weeks later I started building the app I wanted to use instead, and it’s been on the App Store since October 22.
How it works:
Say what you ate on your Apple Watch or iPhone, or take a photo of your plate or a nutrition label. YumLog logs the calories, protein, carbs and fat, fiber, and tells you what it assumed.
If something’s off, tell it, and it fixes the entry.
Save your usuals and recipes, and log them by name.
Shortcuts to the foods you usually have at that time of day, on iPhone and Apple Watch, and Home Screen widgets.
What’s left for the day is a ring of food on a plate that gets eaten as you log.
It works with Apple Health
It’s made for Apple Watch first: a complication or the Action button opens it ready to listen, and the Smart Stack shows what’s left at mealtimes. Under the hood it’s Claude.
Logging by hand is free forever, and your first AI log is free too. After that the AI is $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. For Product Hunt, the code PRODUCTHUNT makes the first month free:

Coming next: iPad and a Mac app, bringing your history over from MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, MacroFactor or Lose It!, and more from Apple Health, like your workouts. It’s just me building it, so I read every comment. I’d love to hear what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d want next.
