Hello Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹

I'm Kevin Segaud, the founder of xfwd.link.

I built this because I was tired of what I call 'Link Anxiety.' We’ve all been there: you stay up until midnight to manually swap a URL for a launch, or you lose sleep worrying that a campaign link is leading to a 404.

Most link managers are 'dumb', they are just passive pipes. If your destination goes down or your campaign ends, they fail. I wanted to build a Link Operating System that works while I sleep. 😴

For NYE, our 'Automatic Switch' handled its first real-world midnight launch perfectly. No manual work, no stress.

What makes xfwd.link different?
πŸ›‘οΈ Active Protection: We pulse your destination. If it hits a 404, we automatically reroute your traffic to a backup. (Yes, this is included in our Free tier).
⏰ Scheduled Switching: Automate your launches. Set the time, and the link swaps itself.
βš–οΈ Traffic Engineering: Weighted A/B testing, Geo-targeting, and Device-logic without the 'Enterprise' price tag.
πŸ”“ Fair Pricing: You’ll notice we don't have a 'PH Launch Discount.' Why? Because we’ve already priced xfwd.link to be 60% cheaper than the giants. We believe professional automation should be accessible, not a luxury.

We are building in public and moving fast. I’d love to hear your feedback, especially from the devs and marketers who have been 'taxed' for years.

What feature should we build next? I’ll be here all day to chat! πŸ‘‡

Congrats on the launch! Love the idea of treating links as something active instead of just static redirects, the automatic fallback on 404s feels especially useful for real campaigns. How teams usually decide their backup destinations: is it more common to use a generic safe page, or a campaign-specific alternative?

Kevin Segaud

@vik_shΒ That is a great strategic question! We’re seeing three main patterns in how teams handle backup destinations with xfwd:

  1. The Campaign Pivot (Most Common): If a specific product page or sub-domain goes down during a launch, teams pivot to a secondary landing page or a direct checkout link. It’s about saving the conversion at all costs.

  2. The 'Soft' Maintenance Page: Instead of a generic browser 404, they send traffic to a branded 'We’re scaling up, check back in 2 minutes' page. It keeps the user in the brand loop rather than losing them to a dead end.

  3. The Mirror Site: For high-stakes enterprise launches, they often have a mirrored site on a different provider. xfwd detects the 404 on the primary and switches to the mirror in 382Β΅s, making the failure invisible to the user.

Personally, I recommend the Campaign-Specific Alternative. If you’ve spent money on ads, you want to send that traffic to the next best thing, not a generic home page.

How would you handle a failure during your most important launch? I'd love to hear your 'Link Anxiety' horror stories!

This product stands out by turning something as simple as a link into a more expressive piece of content that feels personal and professional at the same time. Great work getting XFWD Link out into the world congratulations and excited to see what comes next.

Kevin Segaud

@ngocphuc_1910Β Thanks! You hit on exactly why we built this.

A link is often the first "handshake" between a brand and a user. If that link is slow or doesn't leads to the correct page, the professional image breaks.

By using our different link type, we make sure that "handshake" is always fast and reliable. Excited to have you with us for what's next! πŸš€
