Have you considered dividing certain countries into their states/provinces? The United States alone would give you 50 more slots to sell. And you wouldn't necessarily need to stop allowing the US as a whole to be sold. (Let's say I bought Louisiana. Then when someone zooms in on Louisiana, they would see both my site AND whoever bought the US.)
If you implement that then you could ultimately scale in both directions--down to the county/municipality level AND up to the continent level.

The Million Dollar Homepage comparison makes sense. I can see founders getting oddly competitive about claiming specific countries.
I like that the product itself is easy to understand in a few seconds. The map does most of the explaining without needing a long product demo.

@arthur_djeims Do you actually see / track at what countries site visitors are looking? How they scroll the map?
@elsedes So 2 things. Each project/pin gets it's own dedicated page like https://worldmap.lol/pin/supdesk.app (you can also use search icon in the top left to find your project). There you can see statistics of how many people clicked on your link. Also when you select a country and we show the list of projects/ranking on the right on hover of the project we show the tooltip with more info and clicks counter. Second is since we give dedicated pages and that should improve your SEO and be an extra backlink to your site :) And of course more countries = better chances to get exposed when people explore = more clicks = more visitors. Hopefully that makes sense.
@elsedes Oh I see, now I don't really tack that. I pretty much think that best metric for me here is how many countries people try to buy/outbid :)
