@rrhoover Hey Ryan,
Yep, all of the above! The idea is that it's simple enough to be used with small macro-like workflows but has the ability to do really complex things if needed.
Hey @iann0036 looks cool, tried to play with it a little to see if I can actually use it for my app.
2 questions:
1) Can I reuse a few steps (e.g. group them like "extract to function")?
2) Can I use JS code in this?
@arielassaraf Hey Ariel,
1. If you mean just repeating steps, absolutely! Just drag a link from the last step to the first step in the Workflow Editor. Let me know if that's not quite what you were asking 😋
2. I've tried to avoid pure JS code events, however it does seem like it's needed. So that'll probably be available as an event type in a few days on the next release.
@arielassaraf Hi Ariel,
A quick update, JS code functionality has just been released in the latest version. Your extension should automatically update within a few hours and you'll see the "Custom Function" event type in the Workflow Editor. 🙌
Hi Product Hunt!
I'm excited to introduce the Wildfire extension to you all. Wildfire lets you record your actions within the browser, customize the steps and playback those actions. It's similar to extensions like iMacros and Ghost Inspector but I wanted to do my own take on manipulating the steps in a different way that's both easy to use and can have great complexity to it. That's why I chose to create a visual workflow editor to swap and change those actions.
Wildfire currently runs on your local machine (even on a schedule) to allow you to do testing on internal systems, or online with sensitive data. It also has the ability to do some expression handling for things like loops or value comparisons which I think is really powerful.
I'm always looking for feedback or feature requests so feel free to reach out 😁
UPDATE: Wildfire is now available for Firefox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB...
@caiovaccaro Hey Caio,
It has some limitations around some of the more complex sites around not picking up certain types of events (like, say, Google Sheets) and anything that uses external plugins like Flash. I'm working to get better event detection for those sort of sites.
You're right in that it just uses DOM event listeners. Specifically, the listeners you select in the Settings tab. It also hooks into some of the native browser APIs for things like tab management.
@iann0036 Great, I'll give it a try! I wonder if it works with custom HTML elements from javascript frameworks (like angular directives or polymer elements). I've had problems with other tools.
This is really great and simple tool Ian. Awesome work :)
Does it work on one tab? i tried to simulate opening multiple tabs, but in the simulation it open that link in the same tab.
@vinit_agrawal1 Thanks! 🙂 Check out the "Open in New Tab" option in the Workflow Editor for your New/Change Tab event. The only exception is the very first event, which will always use the first tab. If you still have issues, feel free to DM me.

@iann0036 I installed wildfire & no ideas are coming to mind for when I would use this. Is WildFire Cloud going to be a repository for recipe recordings so that I can get some ideas of how/when to use this?
@ghundermark Hey Greg,
The Wildfire Cloud is a future addition that would allow your simulations to be run on a server online. It can be hard to think of things at first that you'd automate, but usually it's the repetitive, boring stuff you target.
A marketplace is a great suggestion though so I'll certainly try to add something along those lines, even if it's just some included samples.
this look like it will be quite useful, congrats on getting on PH @iann0036
Can I record an action and then import a bunch of URLs and get the same action applied to all those URLs?
@saijo_george Hey Saijo,
Sure can. Easiest way to do that would be to use the right-click menu to run the actions on each URL. If you want to be completely automated, you could try using the Workflow Editor to either duplicate the steps or use expressions. If you need a hand, DM me or shoot me an email at support@wildfire.ai
Thanks for the congrats.
