Hi - Looks very interesting. I am SDFC DevOps/RM and would like to know the following:
Has this been used for SFDC QA testing? If so, any feedback/notes. If not, I will provide notes on my experience.
Second - can the testing be scheduled via a CI server like Jenkins. This will raise enterprise acceptance much faster
Lastly, can we create a workflow around the testing so that Business/QA/UAT testers can use the generated test builds in sequence for testing.
Wishing you all the best
Norman
@zeelog Hi Norman,
Thanks for the feedback. I've not heard of anyone using Wildfire for Salesforce testing yet but if you need any enhancements or support to make that work I'd be happy to help.
As Wildfire is a browser extension, it's pretty hard to get it working in CI. If you can control the environment and have Wildfire pre-installed on your agents, you can preload a profile with the relevant tests and run Chrome with a start parameter. Note this is currently unsupported but I'll be looking into better ways of doing this soon.
On your last question, if you have your test builds deployed using predictable, sequential URLs (dev1, dev2 etc.) then you can use expressions to construct the incremented URLs and loop back around.
If you need help with any of the above, give me a buzz at support@wildfire.ai

+1 for this great efforts man.
This can save a bunch of time to automate the things we do repeatedly, Like open dashboard & download report every hour.
I just wondering that, Can we download the automation script to use with different frameworks like TestNG/Selenium or any JS framework? I think It'll save lots of time for the developer.
@nishchit_dhanani Thanks for the feedback!
Exporting to other tools like Selenium is a little harder than you'd expect as there's a lot of reliance on multiple paths and non-standard events (like working with variables).
It might be possible to export just the Event Log (and leave some events out) so I'll add this to my backlog.

Really love the product's easy concept for selenium haters :). I tried to use to automate Wordpress Mu NS Clone, it wasn't so trivial. I had to do by trials and errors: set direct mouse input, change settings to "leave window simulation open" so as to make it work.
Some basic stuffs are weird or missing:
- no timer to wait for action to finish (that's why I have to have settings with "leave window simulation open")
- wasn't able to set variable to the name of site I wanted to create with NS Clone as setValue only reads a value from an html element
- change value was necessary after data input: why ?
This is awesome, nice work @iann0036 ! It would be super cool if there was a way to share the recording with others (even non-users) via a unique URL. Some use cases: 1.) I come across a bug and want to send a video to the dev group in addition to steps to replicate so they can see exactly what I'm seeing. Diagnostic meta data would also be pretty cool - browser, browser version, etc (not sure if you already have that, I didn't look for this specifically). 2.) If I wanted to show someone how to do something (e.g. how to post something new on Product Hunt) I could record it, then send the unique URL to that person so they could see exactly how.
@arrev Hey Adam,
Thanks for the feedback! Currently, you can achieve a similar effect by exporting the workflow or event log to a file, then having the other person import it. This does require they have the extension installed though.
I'll certainly look into the unique URL option though, it's a great idea!

This looks great. Ran a simple test that visits the product hunt tech category and then sorts by new - worked perfectly.
I need to find what other people use this kind of tool for, but worked great on the one test I threw at it.
Good work.
@jwelch Hey James,
Thanks for the feedback. I'm gathering some information about use cases from people that reach out for support. There's already been a suggestion for a marketplace or similar, so I'll definitely be looking to include that in a future release but it needs to be done in a way that doesn't easily leak personal information accidentally.
@catapop84 Hey Catalin,
Firefox and Opera versions are actually already on the way to being released. It's currently being held up by their respective extension store moderation queues, so it's probably a couple weeks off.
@shama_keskar Hi Shama,
If you're referring to a file input/upload field, unfortunately no. There are security restrictions around this for the major browsers that prevent an extension alone from simulating a file input (so you won't see it in any other extension either). It may however be available in the future when run in the Wildfire Cloud.
