Hi, this is Dr. Dipayan from India. We have created a medical search engine designed specifically for patients. As doctors, we often feel uneasy about our patients using Google to search for health information. Yet, the reality is that most people turn to Google to find information relevant to them. What concerns me the most is that while the information I find on Google is often correct, when patients come to me after a Google search, the information they present is frequently inaccurate. After looking into this issue for some time, I realized that the key factor they are missing is ‘contextual relevance.’ Although much of the information online (at least what appears on the first page of Google) is factually correct, it often doesn’t apply to the specific situation of the person searching. That’s why we have developed this search engine (which we refer to as a search engine to clearly convey our value proposition, though it’s more like an answer engine) that aims to understand the context of your search and presents only the relevant information to you. It also provides a list of accurate keywords as references so that you can continue your search on Google if you wish. Please test it out and let me know your thoughts. (We have also developed a chatbot, but it is currently being tested in the local market (India), so we are not showcasing it for now.)

Love the idea of a medical search engine that actually understands the context! As a non-doctor, it can be confusing to figure out what's actually relevant when searching about health stuff online. Congrats on the launch, and good luck!

This sounds interesting, Dr. Dipayan! How does your search engine handle edge cases where patient conditions might overlap? Curious about the UX as well!

@star_boat could you explain what do you mean by overlapping patient conditions ? if you mean a symptom description that matches multiple possible diagnosis, we try to give the differential so that patient now know what to search with to further explore.. In reality one symptom description matches hundreds of conditions. the goal of context analysis is to narrow down the list to 4 to 6 most probable conditions that patient can go deeper into.
