Hi Product Hunt! 👋 This is the first project I built almost entirely with AI — using Claude Code to generate nearly 100% of the code from scratch. I wanted to experiment with how far AI coding tools can go when building a small but polished interactive web project. WhaleIndex visualizes billionaire wealth as sea creatures in a scrollable ocean: 🐟 Fish → under $20B 🦈 Sharks → $20B–$100B 🐋 Whales → $100B+ As you scroll deeper into the ocean, fortunes get larger. I also added a small mini-game for fun: you can fish near the boat and randomly catch creatures, also try to unlock the treasure chest. The idea was to mix data visualization + playful interaction instead of static charts. I’m curious about something: Do you think AI coding tools could enable a new type of website — with interactive graphics, animations, and small embedded mini-games as part of the experience? I built WhaleIndex as a small experiment to see how far AI coding tools can go when creating an interactive website.

The project was generated almost entirely with Claude Code, which helped produce both backend and frontend code. The goal was to build something simple but visually engaging: an ocean where billionaire wealth is represented by sea creatures, with scrolling depth, animations, and visual effects.
